Corcovado National Park Tours Corcovado is the largest of the 13 National Parks in Costa Rica and was established in 1975. It is considered the most precious of these parks, and the ecological diversity is rivaled only by the Amazon Basin. It is home to a health population of Baird's Tapir, Harpy Eagles are known to nest here as well. Jaguar, Puma, Ocelot, Jaguarondi, and Margay are the feline present. Primates include all 4 monkey types observed in Costa Rica; Central American Squirrel, White-throated Capuchin, Mantled Howler, and Central American Spider Monkeys. You really need two days in the park to do it justice, however if you are willing to pay, you can fly in/out and stay one night or even day trips. |
